Eyes are in my top 5 favourite body parts for sure, I like to think of them as jewels, a sort of centrepiece of the body’s design. The way they function, the sense of sight they provide us, it’s so spectacular. We seldom think of all that goes into making us. It’s so intense.

Color is so important. For a designer it is never simple to pick and dose to perfection, but when done well it can make all the difference. I love monochrome objects and the way they interact with their surroundings, often making a strong statement. This is a perfect example of simplicity, but matching the colour of each component on this boat must not have been so easy.
Don’t know what to make of this… very superficial, a bit poetic, great soundtrack. Maybe I don’t get it, maybe there’s nothing to get. I guess models don’t make very good actors… Mmmmm St-Tropez

Don’t judge it by it’s cover! Produced by the band Midlake in Texas, the first album of the singer John Grant is beautiful. I’ve been listening to this folk pop orientated and highly seductive album for over a week now, I really think it’s unlike anything and exactly like everything I’ve heard before. I can’t decide which song is my favourite, but Sigourney Weaver is spectacular.
On another note, in the spirit of summer, here are a few good ones to listen to in your car, windows wide open, warm air flowing in :
I’m good I’m gone (Likke Li cover) – Friendly Fires
Pursuit of Happiness (Them Jeans Remix) – Kid Cudi
I Don’t Know What I Can Save You From (Royksopp Remix) – Kings of Convenience
Killing for love (Beatfanatic remix) – Jose Gonzales
Stars Come Out – Calvin Harris
(This Shit Was) All I Know – Drake & Free Energy
I am not a robot (Clock Opera Remix) – Marina & the Diamonds
Memories (Fuck Me I’m Famous Remix) – Kid Cudi
Silvia (Hook N Sling & Goodwill Remix) – Miike Snow
Sweet Disposition (Axwell & Dirty South Remix) – Temper Trap
Some things go without saying. So again here’s a selection from my library of images.

Here is an inside look into one of the most amazing industrial facilities on earth. If you like Porsche (who doesn’t?) take a look at 911 NATION, a very dedicated and pretty little blog.

The client’s design brief for the project was that it needed to include a nine-car garage,
with the possibility of viewing one from living room. the other was that a tall tree needed
to be placed within the house, which is located in Tokyo no less.
I’ve always loved the Lamborghini Countach. Making the Anniversary edition the centrepiece of a living room is well… mind bogglingly extravagant, and in this case well executed!

This home in Suurupi village in Estonia started out as a simple, not so stimulating, one-storey private house. As the family grew, children got older and living space had to be enlarged. This is such a great example of what can be done when you think a little bit outside the box, truly unique!

Form follows function, perhaps the most interesting lesson in design. This little stool follows exactly that mantra without being boring or bland. It is though, undeniably simple.
